DRE Compliance

When the 800 pound gorilla comes knocking at your door - to do an audit, or with an accusation - who are you going to call?

The Department of Real Estate (DRE) regularly audits brokers’ files for compliance. Sometimes it’s triggered by getting a complaint, sometimes it’s random. If the DRE finds something, it files an ‘Accusation’ and the broker goes through an administrative trial. Suspension - even revocation - of a license is possible. We defend brokers in those cases. Mr. Hanson has been a member of the DRE’s special committee that reviews and audits the DRE salesman and broker exams. Another HLF attorney has been the risk manager and regulatory compliance officer for a national real estate company. The lawyers at HLF have represented many brokers and agents in these proceedings - and not one has lost his/her license.

Hanson is accessible, gets the job done in a timely, cost effective manner – we’re not deep pockets people. He can understand the issues, because they get complicated - often more complicated than they need to be.
