Hanson Law Firm (HLF) is a real estate centric law firm with decades of experience in the residential and commercial brokerage business. Our team of senior attorneys has served as 1031 attorneys, general counsel for commercial brokerages, risk managers for large (and small) residential brokerage companies and as an associate dean of a law school. HLF is firmly set in its real property practice. That kind of expertise allows us to predict issues and find solutions - all so our clients can sleep at night, knowing we've got their backs.

Real Estate today is going through changes more dramatic than almost anything we've ever seen; and brokers and agents are subjected to an ever growing list of concerns. As real estate and business attorneys representing brokers and agents throughout California, we are focused and pragmatic.

We know the best way to win a case is to use risk management practices - and avoid a lawsuit in the first place. But, if risk management isn't enough, we know how to handle even the trickiest, most complex cases.

Broker defense, is only one part. You may have E&O insurance, but what if the carrier denies coverage? We help there too (we've gotten coverage where it's been denied, and we've successfully sued and collected a million dollars from one carrier who refused coverage). In what is often the most stressful event of a career (or life), we give our broker/agent clients solid ground to stand on. That's our "Terra Firma" Philosophy.

Brokers and agents aren't the only ones feeling change. Borrowers and Lenders are as well. It feels like "Foreclosure, Foreclosure, Foreclosure" has replaced "Location, Location, Location" as the key phrase in this era.

We've sued to protect borrowers who have been wrongfully foreclosed upon; we've sued to perfect the interests of a bidders at foreclosure sales; and we've even acted as a trustee and conducted foreclosures for lenders (from loans of thousands to millions of dollars). We have no bias, just a goal to make sure the process has been fair - to everyone.
